Reading and Writing All Sorts
I’ve been called a tree-hugger a few times over the years and you know what? Couldn’t give a toss! It’s usually meant to be derogatory, trying to embarrass someone who cares about other living things and weirdly enough, a particular living thing that helps you breathe. Turns out (with evidence and everything!) that trees are very much alive, communicate to each other and if we can stop chopping them down, will help us survive.
Fantastic article HERE on the origins of the term ‘tree-hugger’. Quite a sad tale but with a positive outcome.
